This competition entry is for a beach restaurant and boathouse for the Linconshire coast. The proposal will house the Royal Life Saving Society lifeboats for this area of coast. To house the dual functions of the brief we provided two complementary volumes which play on protection and exposure. The facade dramatically curves backwards as if windswept by the location. In this way, the form of the building is weatherbeaten into shape, bowed by the elements.
