During this project we undertook the complete transformation of a four storey Georgian country house and lodge in 68 acres of rolling countryside. The main objectives were to open up the house to the landscape, to bathe the subtly reconfigured interior in sunlight and to pare away 200 years of clutter in the process taking the house back to its core. Four blind windows were opened up to stunning effect bathing the interior in light. All in all the project resulted in a subtle and contemporary transmutation of historic space to provide harmonious family accommodation.
